Over the years, Inc Media grew well beyond its trusted print offering. With cutting-edge tools, immersive experiences, and robust business networks, Inc helped people build businesses that changed the world. But the brand wasn’t getting the credit it deserved.


Inc had an opportunity to come out from the shadows and claim its rightful place alongside the individuals and companies it helped catapult to success. While keeping the spotlight where it belonged, we created a brand that captured Inc’s role in changing the way we live, work and play. The brand voice was simultaneously inspiring and scrappy, bringing to life their unwavering dedication to business leaders.

When Hilary and her team arrived at Inc., we instantly knew were in the hands of total professionals. Hilary, in a style I’d characterize as a blend of persistence, insight and diplomacy-without-bullshit, drove us to rethink Inc. in terms not just of what we do, but how we affect our users’ lives and the good we do by helping innovative companies succeed. We emerged from our Sparkfire engagement newly energized, with new marketing materials, a new slogan for the magazine and a new dedication to Inc.’s mission. It was powerful stuff.
